Announcement: Square Forge 2.0 Relaunch
Archived Update (February 2026)
Square Forge has officially relaunched with a redesigned website and a renewed focus on its original purpose: creating modular PDF tools for Dungeons & Dragons Game Masters.
Originally established in 2013, Square Forge introduced a modular dungeon tile system built to support flexible encounter design and live table play. Over time, the site expanded into additional areas that were not directly related to its tabletop mission. With this update, the structure and direction of Square Forge have been refined and clarified.
The new website features improved organization, streamlined navigation, and a clearer product structure centered entirely on Game Master resources. Content unrelated to modular tabletop tools has been removed, allowing Square Forge to concentrate fully on practical session preparation and adaptable design.
Expanded Product Lines
In addition to the existing Modular Tiles system, two new product lines are now being introduced:
- Encounter Maps: Blueprint-style PDF guides demonstrating how to assemble dungeon scenarios using the Modular Tiles system, including layout instructions, required tile counts, and optional mechanics that support live, low-prep gameplay.
- One-Shot Adventures: Adaptable scenario modules designed for single-session play, offering flexible encounter concepts and narrative frameworks that can be integrated seamlessly into ongoing campaigns.
These additions expand Square Forge from a tile system into a more complete toolkit for Game Masters who value modular design, improvisation, and efficient preparation.
What Comes Next
Product releases for the new lines will follow shortly. Each release will be accompanied by its own archived announcement entry, ensuring a clear chronological record of development and expansion.
